09-05 Barby on the North Oxford canal

Saturday 5th September: Remarkably didn't get disturbed by boats until after 8am given we were moored in a short pound between locks but once they started they didn't know how to stop!  We took dogs for a walk to the chandelry at the bottom lock and visited the canal ware shop by the lock.
Once back at PO we got moving and went down last two wide locks and through Braunston pausing at the services and then found the last slot on the 14 day moorings beyond the Junction.  Now on the North Oxford canal.  Had lunch and went for a walk up into Braunston with the dogs to do a bit of shopping then returned to PO and set off again.  Rater a pleasant late afternoon and evening with sunshine for a change. Moored up beyond bridge 81 near the line of the old Great Central Railway.
