Sunday 28th June: Set off from Windsor under a grey sky and managed to get as far as Romney Lock before it started to rain. The weather was then fairly miserable for the rest of our cruise and particularly heavy once we arrived at old Windsor lock and similarly at Bel Weir lock just when we were least able to protect ourselves from the rain. Arrived at Staines and although we went under the road bridge, the moorings were fairly full, so we turned back to moor at the park by Church Island.
Went with the dogs for a general explore of Staines as far as the Railway station to check out for Davids arrival tomorrow.
