Monday 22nd June: Day started miserable grey and wet and this persisted until midday when it brightened up although the wind got a bit fresh as the day wore on. David & Harriet joined us about 11am and we set off after a coffee break up river through Whitchurch Lock. Then had an hours cruise (some of it in rain) up to Goring where we moored for lunch.. Turned and returned down river through Whitchurch and Mapledurham locks to Tilhurst where we moored up at Reading Marine for an engine service tomorrow.
Tuesday 23rd June: Service proceeded (in fits and starts as wrong oil filter delivered and had to wait for replacement) so eventually completed about 5:30pm so stay put here tonight. Unfortunately missed a pretty reasonable day for cruising as weather fine sunny and dry!
