Sunday 31st May: The last day of May and it feels more like November! Set off through Eynsham Lock about 10:30 watering up on the upstream lock landing before passing under Swinford bridge. Weather becoming increasingly miserable as we head up river through Pinkhill and Northmoor Locks. Heavy drizzle at times and perishing winds with squally heavier showers - feels more like the arctic! We spotted an inviting length of concrete capped piling on a bend just before Newbridge and decided to moor up
having had enough of the weather. Lit the fire and had some soup for lunch to try and get warm again. Later in the afternoon it did clear and the sun came out so we were able to walk back down the Thames path
along and through another yellow meadow
and passed a bridge taking the path across the Thames.
