06-15 Wallingford on the River Thames

Monday 15th June:  Lovely sunny day and after a dog walk and breakfast we set off down river for the short trip to Wallingford.  Squeezed behind a Le Boat (Hired by a German crew) into Benson Lock - they had just set off from Benson Wharf.  Then followed them slowly down stream through Wallingford Bridge where we turned and passed back through it to moor facing upriver on the Council quay we have moored on before.   I went into Wallingford for some supplies and a general wander
while Bridie was busy on the boat (keeping out of the sun) and then we took the dogs for a walk. At first we tried going to Castle gardens but dogs not allowed so crossed the bridge and walked the meadows on the other side of the river.  Back to the boat and had a pleasant evening chilling out and watching the rowing.
