Tuesday 30th June: A very hot sunny day with a minor thundery shower in the late evening. Set off From Pyrford in brilliant sunshine just in front of the wide beam hotel boat but with no one for company in the locks initially. Cruised as far as Dapdune Wharf at Guildford and moored in front of nb Greyfisher with its lovely roof full of flowers.
Once we had settled in we all went for a walk into Guildford to find and explore the old High street area and eventually found the Castle Gardens
but too late as they had just closed the gates. Back on board for evening meal a storm brewed up and we could see lightening flashes and hear the thunder but the rain did not amount to much.
